Our Ale malt is for correcting light malts, for golden beers, and for a pleasant mouthfeel. To do this, we use a 44-46% steeping during malting, drying at 90-95°C to give an EBC number between 5 and 8. This is not simply a darker Pilsner malt, but a special malt for individual recipes.
